What is it like to grow up in the home of an entrepreneur? Aidan Hall shares his first-hand experience growing up with his entrepreneurial mom Molly.
Having a conversation with your kids about what it means and looks like to grow up in an entrepreneurial home is the place to start.
Keep your communication lines open with your kids. Encourage them to give you feedback and check in with them consistently and often. When they are courageous enough to speak their truth or share their perspective, don't get defensive, use it as a weapon against them, or make them feel like they're in trouble. Instead, treat them like your board of advisors.
Working from home makes it even harder to separate your work and home life. The lines get blurred, and it's easy to get wrapped up in emails or work situations that keep you from being present. Empower your children to hold you accountable when it's time to be present for your family.
Be mindful and aware of the example you are setting for your kids. They are watching and paying attention!
Aidan shares that one of the biggest lessons growing up in an entrepreneurial home was learning the value of investing in yourself and your kids.
