I feel like the responsibility is all on me. Does this sound familiar?

People often get defensive and have a clouded mindset about the concept of responsibility. What would happen if you could shift your team's attitude about stepping up and taking responsibility?

What if responsibility created a sense of ownership rather than victimhood? Responsibility doesn't need to breed resentment.

Start looking at your responsibilities as freedom. When you know what you're responsible for, you know how to interact with all of the moving pieces and how you should best respond.

If you are leading a team, you are responsible. It's your job to show up with proposed solutions to problems and make sure that your team is doing what is needed.

As an employee, you are responsible. Don't leave everything up to the "boss." As an employee, you can take responsibility by asking for clarification on your responsibilities and asking what decisions and actions you have the authority to make.

As a business owner and entrepreneur, you have the power to establish standards and processes, empower your employees to act and make decisions, and set clearly defined expectations.
