Writing a book doesn't have to be an overwhelming process. Sara Connell, the founder of Thought Leader Academy, walks us through the process she uses to help entrepreneurs and thought leaders write their books.
A book saved Sara's life seventeen years ago. She was in an abusive job and spiraling into a health crisis when she randomly picked up the book at the airport. Her life changed because of that book, and that's when she realized that she needed to pay it forward.
Sara started down a path to figuring out the fun and easy process for writing a profitable and impactful book.
She looked back at her writing process to see where she got stuck and has built the antidote into the writing process she uses in the Thought Leaders Academy.
Sara says that book sales are like icing on the cake. The book-writing process brings you closer to why you do what you do. It helps clarify your mission and reconnect you to it. It also distinguishes you as a thought leader.
You don't need to have a story about overcoming tragedy or adversity to write a book. People will buy books that help them solve problems. They don't pay for information, but they will pay for the organization of information in a clearly outlined process.
